Depression / Mental Health

There's something I had to tell you all about mental health.

The older generation people think that it doesn't exist and they think that we younger generation keep saying that we're depressed and that's the reason of our bad mental health. I mean, I really don't get it. If your kid is saying that he doesn't feel up to the mark or doesn't feel good about himself why don't you look into it, provide some support in any way possible and not cut him off saying that "It'll be fine, it's just a phase" or "Theek ho jaayega, chinta mat kar". It won't be alright until you help them work on themselves or give them a little push they need. I too was in a really bad place, for various reasons... I've grown, I've changed and worked on myself to get better and where I am. Yes there are nights like this one where I'm not feeling too good about myself, but it's not everyday where I used to cry. I can't say that I don't cry anymore, but I surely don't cry as much as I used to.

This one goes to talk about the other people who know about depression but say it's fake because a few of us are either scared to get it checked, or get medicated for. I legit don't get how you can fake a mental illness unless you're a genius or a psychopath who just wants attention, which is very rare. I don't wanna name anyone but there was is this guy who's going through his own tough time and he has his medications for it. When he got to know about me and my thing , he kept saying that I fake my issues and I just do it for attention. I really don't get it, so you're telling me that if you don't take meds or attend a psychiatrist, you're faking your mental illness?

One more thing with mental illness is, if you make mistakes or spoil anything with someone, maybe it's a relationship or their mood, please stop blaming it on your mental illness. It's true that bad mental health screws up stuff but stop hiding from the fact that you messed up and blamed it all on your  bad mental health. People also publicize their mental health. You need to understand that the fight is with yourself and not with others. Yes, others will help you but they won't fight it for you. It's your fight you gotta fight it. Putting up stories everyday about the fact that you're depressed is a toxic trait that you need to get rid off. Yes I was that person but I don't do it anymore, I've started keeping all this to myself which is really sensitive and open up to someone who's really close to me and deserves to know.
Stop calling people to your pity party, no one's gonna fight your fight. It's your life, you gotta put your head up and fight your kind out of it. Heartbreaks are a part of life, life is not easy but it's worth living for. If you ever feel suicidal, you need to understand that you matter to yourself and a few close ones. You'll be better, just give yourself time
Also of you ever feel suicidal, don't hesitate to contact me. I might not be the best of your friends but I can try being the better one to help you out because I've been in that phase, gone through all of it.
Anyways, if you've reached here...this is the end. I really hope you have an amazing day ahead and I pray for your good health and progress. Take care , stay safe :))
